Quick and easy meal since youngest daughter has cheerleading and my oldest son has to be brought to work after school.
Refrigerated Dough (you can make your own if you want)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Note: I bought dough instead of making my own. If you make your own dough, meal will take longer while you prepare your bread recipe.
Flatten out the dough into the length of a hot dog. Put a little cheese down, then a hot dog on top. Roll the hot dog up.
Cut into 7 even slices or as many as you decide. Then twist them outwards, forming the twist.
Place hot dog twists on a cooking pan. Then place them in the oven for 10 minutes.
TIME TIP: While this is going on, here are some things you can accomplish around the house during your wait. Get the whole family involved to get more done!
- Have a kid take out the kitchen trash.
- Have all kids place all their items needing to be looked at/signed from school.
- Start kids on their homework for the night.
- Make your bed (with 13 pillows and 4 sheets/blankets. (Not an exaggeration)).
- Switch over laundry and start another load.
10 minutes should be up by now.
Pull hot dog twists out and sprinkle some more cheese on top. Place back in oven for another 5 minutes or until golden brown. Be careful to watch so you don’t burn the bottoms.
TIME TIP: Use that five minutes to review and sign any school work brought home by the kids.
Time is up!!! Don’t they look good? Also, during all that, you were able to knock out a few chores around the house. Great job!
Serve with whatever sides you would like. We did BBQ chips and apple sauce. Use small dipping cups and fill them with any dipping sauce you would like. The more flavors, the more fun. Enjoy!
